I typed four words to start it: The kitchen. Forty minutes.

The world ran itself. Jo moved a bowl that was already in the right place. Claire announced that Nadia had been standing in the hallway for twenty-three minutes. Pete came back from the hallway saying they were having a good conversation, she'd asked a really good question actually.

He didn't say what the question was.
